Yes. The PracTutor vision is to provide best education to our kids, and a part of this requires a responsible stewardship of student data. By signing the pledge, PracTutor has reaffirmed its commitment to keeping student data private and secure.
Student Privacy Pledge is a list of twelve legally enforceable commitments companies can take to affirm that they would safeguard the student data. The companies who take the Student Privacy Pledge commit themselves to these obligations. It was introduced in 2014, and has been signed by more than 300 companies.
The pledge is facilitated by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) and the Future of Privacy Forum (FPF). The Student Privacy Pledge has been endorsed by President Obama, the National PTA, and the National School Boards Association.
PracTutor is proud to reaffirm its commitment to responsible and appropriate use of student data. By signing the pledge, it has committed itself to using student data only for the purposes authorized by the educational institution/agency, teacher or the parent/student, and to maintain a comprehensive security program designed to protect the security, privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of student personal information against risks.
